| Temporary Special Needs Advisor

Job Description:
- Assess students needs and determine appropriate services and materials.
- Provide individual and group academic advisement.
- Develop and teach program orientation and appropriate learning modules.
- Monitor students' academic progress and provide necessary academic assistance.
- Assist students with vocational career and transfer planning.
- Develop and give presentations about services.
- Participate in career fairs and college nights for students with disabilities.
- Serve as external liaison with high schools, four-year colleges, area businesses and other agencies.
- Coordinate accommodations and adaptive equipment.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Special Education, counseling or related field.
- Two years experience with high school or college age special education students in both academic and vocational setting.
- Eperience in job placement.
- Experience with Word, Excel and current adaptive technology.
Additional Information:
SALARY: $22.67
HOURS: Monday - Thursday, Daytime Hours
****This is a temporary position scheduled for November 1, 2009 - January 31, 2010.****
