Job Description:

  • Responds to questions and advises students on successful strategies for admission to the Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Phlebotomy (PBT), and Pharmacy Technician programs.
  • Maintains MLT, PBT, and Pharmacy Technician student performance, clinical records, and other confidential information.
  • Responds to questions about the programs from students.
  • Prepares correspondence, reports, course materials, etc. for the MLT, PBT, and Pharmacy Technician programs.
  • Oversees the preparation and assembling of MLT, PBT, and Pharmacy Technician student materials such as course packets, clinical handbooks, exams, etc.
  • Maintains MLT and PBT program clinical information and records including student clinical assignments and student clinical performance evaluations. Responds to questions from clinical faculty and/or clinical sites
  • Maintains clinical contract database for health care programs.
  • Prepares regular reports for accrediting agencies.
  • Initiates required forms and reports on a regular basis in accordance with college policy and practice.
  • Exercises discretion in handling confidential materials.

Requirements:

  • High school education including course work in office practice or an equivalent combination of training and experience is necessary. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Two years general administrative and office support experience is required.
  • Ability to utilize a keyboard to enter, retrieve and manipulate data is required.
  • Advanced word processing (Microsoft Word preferred), intermediate spreadsheet application (Microsoft Excel preferred), and beginning presentation application (Microsoft PowerPoint preferred) skills are required. Beginning database application skill (Microsoft Access preferred) is desired.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.


Additional Information:

SALARY: $18.20 per hour  
HOURS: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 2:30 pm
