Job Description:
- Assign, monitor, and evaluate work assignments, train custodians, and perform inspections and provide feedback to employees and the Manager of Housekeeping.
- Perform custodial duties as assigned.
- Respond to general housekeeping and facilities complaints and requests for set‑ups from administrators, staff, faculty, students, and Business Conference Center clients; including requests received during assigned shift, general housekeeping, mechanical and grounds keeping needs.
- Perform equipment maintenance checks, repair as possible, order parts, and recommend replacements as necessary.
- Monitor inventory of supplies and order as needed.
- Perform room breakdowns and set‑ups as requested.
- Responsible for weekend housekeeping operations.
Requirements:
- High School education or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is required
- Two years of supervisory custodial experience is required.
- Knowledge of custodial operations is required.
- Management and housekeeping course work is preferred.
- Must be able to see small amounts of dust and dirt and to see colors
- Must have a good sense of smell
- Ability to read and write at 6th grade level.
- Ability to use computer (I.E. Microsoft Office, internet and on-line applications).
- Equipment repair experience is desired.
- May require lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Requires walking, standing, pushing, climbing, lifting, and carrying for an 8-hour shift.
- Requires full use of both hands, both arms, and both legs. Must be able to twist, turn, and bend from neck and torso.
- At times, work environment will be hot, dusty, and/or dirty.
- Must be able to work with diverse group of staff.
Additional Information:
SALARY: $42,667 annually
HOURS: Monday - Friday, 3rd Shift Hours
